How It Works

Simple 4-Step Brinell Testing

The King Portable Brinell Tester makes metal hardness testing easy.

Position the Tester

Place the tester securely on the workpiece and align it at the test location.

Apply the Test Force

Apply the required Brinell load and create the indentation.

3

Measure the Indentation

Measure the indentation using either a KingScan® V or KingScope™ 100.

4

Read the BHN

Use the conversion chart or table to determine the Brinell Hardness Number.
